How fun would it be to have your students create a craft and they could potentially all look quite different based on the base ten blocks they use and how?
This craft will work for TK – 3rd grade…crazy right?!?! That is a wide span but it has so many options that make it differentiated to meet their needs.
How does it work for so many grade levels?
I’m so glad you asked! Basically for TK/K – students can just add marshmallows to the hot cocoa and work on counting & one to one correspondence. I have a basic response sheet that says: I have ___ marshmallows on my mug.
As we move through a more advanced approach as you can see they will work on writing out the number, what comes before and after, if it’s odd or even and even standard and expanded form.
This would make for a darling bulletin board or hallway display as well. Who know math could be so cute?!?!
