About the author – Vicky Moore ~ ~ ~ Welcome to Teaching and Much Moore where we will share teaching and family tradition ideas. My name is Vicky Moore and I live in sunny So Cal. I am a veteran teacher of 28 years in the classroom ( grades K-3 ). Just 3 short years ago I transitioned from being a classroom teacher to a literacy specialist/coach in my district for k – 3. I started my teaching career in preschool as I was working on my credential and then spent several years in first grade and handfuls in 2nd and 3rd. I became a teacher author/blogger for TPT in 2012 and have loved meeting so many amazing teachers in our community.
Another thing about me is I’m a swimmer and still compete here and there for Masters Swimming. I have been a swimmer for 42 years and I swear I’m 1/2 mermaid! I’m a mom to 2 pretty amazing young adults and married for over 25 years to a high school athletic director. My faith is a big part of who I am as well. We are blessed indeed!

My wonderfully talented friend Nikki @ Melonheadz created this precious symbol which you see on my blog. My mom signed every letter to all of us since I was a baby with this at the end. She loved the Lord sooo much!
