I’m so excited to share some FUN, engaging ideas you can have your students participate in on Feb. 22!! Will you be celebrating?!?! There are so many fun ways to make this a memorable day for your students…don’t miss this great opportunity!
Create a time capsule with your students any age will work but especially if they are in first grade…they will be seniors and can open it on 3-3-33. How fun would that be?!?!
PHOTO BOOTH!!!! Why not have a photo booth station up for your students? People typically LOVE photo booths and what a great way to capture the moment for them…PLUS they can add the photo to their time capsule. I call that a win – win. I have a photo booth that would work perfect for this occasion!
There are so many activity packs on TPT right now for this hot topic. Teachers have come up with creative ways to have students brainstorm pairs, work with doubles, synonyms, etc. The ideas truly are endless! You can find my activity pack here for just $2.22.
Morning Message/ Greeting –
Have your students figure out riddles/ doubles facts etc. in your morning message. Leave spaces on your anchor chart so your students have to think about what would work in the spot. Make your morning message have a theme relating to Twosday!
Have your team all wear tutu’s to work! I know, I know – not all of you are dress up peeps like me but it’s an easy, fun idea. Amazon, Party City, etc are great places to look.
At 2:22 have a DANCE PARTY! Either have them pick a Go Noodle or just dance for 22 seconds!!!!
Have your students write about what they think they will be doing when they are 22. You will probably have to help them brainstrom ideas.
Read Aloud: Tuesday by David Weisner
Play a digital game that was especially made for 2’s day.
This digital game includes doubles, synonyms, pairs and more.
Have students work in pairs for part of the day, or invite your reading buddies to read to your younger students. They will love this…also another pic for the time capsule!
Ideas 11 – 22
